The Community Television Network is celebrating their name change to Portland Media Center with a Launch Party and 25-hour Telethon at 516 Congress Street in Portland and broadcast live on Charter Cable Channel 5, with live streaming as well, on September 22-23. The Launch Party will begin Friday night at 7PM at the Maine Charitable Mechanics Hall and end across the street at Portland Media Center with a formal unveiling the our new name and logo by 9PM. The general public is invited to attend. At that time, the 25-hour Telethon will begin featuring local musical talent, dancing, political discourse, sports talk, art demonstrations, classes and all the vibrant energy that only community television can offer. It will continue nonstop until 10PM Saturday night, September 23.
Ben Carroll will be performing live at 9:30am on Saturday September 23rd.
